Re-categorise transactions

Good news, Smoothies! If a transaction is uncategorised, or you want to change its categorisation, tap it to open the expense details screen and then tap Edit next to the existing categories.

Exclude recurring expenses

Good news, Smoothies! You can exclude expenses and service providers you don't consider recurring by tapping the expense or service provider, then tapping Exclude on the expense details screen.

Move accounts between categories

Good news, Smoothies! You can now easily change whether accounts are categorised as Spending, Savings or Debt accounts in Smoothy Accounts. Your 'Cash balance' in Smoothy is the combined balances of all the Spending accounts you've connected to Smoothy.

Open banking is live in NZ!

Open Banking launched in NZ in December 2025 as part of the new Customer Data Rights legislation — it’s your data, so you get to use it to make your life easier. ANZ, Kiwibank, Westpac, ASB and BNZ are all now live with their open banking connections.
